I ran 9.76 all stock 12a on 205/60's. airpump and a/c removed.
gotta be a record, it normally ran high 9.9's to 10 flat.
this was all hard powershifting though, she'd chirp 3rd.

My '82 went 9.96 at 70mph with a RB header and a slightly modded carb, with a 2.3 60'.

So with a stock manifold, I'd say thats about right...

Question

Why does everybody talk about the 1/8th of a mile now? When I used to drag race on the weekends we all went by 1/4 mile times and when you asked someone what their car runs, they'd always assume you meant the 1/4 mile. Was this 1/8 mile stuff started by ricers to make their cars sound fast? I'm not downing you in anyway, just trying to understand.

Angry

My stockport with mikuni and RB exhaust ran 9.36 ate best with 15 inch Kosei racing wheels. But that's pretty descent, then again I don't shift at 6.5 either.Time for more tuning,My friggin street port only ran 15.6 in the 1/4 after it ket losing fuel pressure in second.I was really dissappointed.

from what i under stand they started making 1/8 to help the reacers out. racers dont have to push there cars as long, its not as hard on parts, you can run more people in a day. and save on the insurence. thats just wat i got from some people.
