1/4 runs tonight

Oh man, do I ever need real tires. :p

If you've read the kill threads at all, I've got an emissions legal 'street' extended-port, K&N FIPK cone filter, racing beat header, and still stock shitty muffler, awaiting replacement RB muffler and my own midpipe, SOON. - but, it outruns my buddys BPU MKIII Supra Turbo, which should be running about 13.9~14.1

BOY OH BOY, 3krpm, winter tires and a track surface don't mix. 1st gear - *melt* 2nd gear - *melt* 3rd gear *slip slip, Grab...

Oh dear, 15.8 :p

2nd run, go from much lower RPM, 1k. 1st gear - *BOG*, *melt* 2nd gear *melt* 3rd gear *slip, grab*

15.5 haha

OYE!

3rd run, 2k rpm, 1st gear *IT HOOKS UP!*, oh wait *MELT* ... 2nd gear *slip, grab*

15.4@89mph

Oh damn. That's SOO farking bad ... I don't think the car was running too hot tho as the mph are pretty low. I checked all my electrics and did a run with a camaro RS that did a 14 flat and pulled on him pretty good, but, this wasn't timed as it was on the way out haha

Sooo, I need that muffler (shoulda run open header ), and I need some real tires, should be interesting next time I head back out to compare.

Those are some nice times man. I think that nice tires would maybe improve them some. I dont really know. I hope for times like that after I get my street port going on under my hood. That will be cool . Maybe even better after I get my "custom" turbo set up and running.

I was expecting low 14s... It feels a lot quicker on the street, I'm gonna borrow some rubber for the next run and see if I can get it to hookup nicely. Being able to do a hard launch would probably take a good second or two off my time

He must, i dont think there are FIPK's for 12a's.
Unlesssss...you can get the thing from here: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=27012
And hook an FIPK to it...? But you would need a Holley setup or custom make an adapter plate for it.

I had a K&N drop'in filter in the airbox before, but took that off and hooked up a K&N FIPK w/ adapter for the 91+ Toyota Turbo MR2, fits perfectly. No more airbox, now I've just gotta duct some cold air in there.

It's a 13b in a GSL-SE, weight without me in the car was 2425lbs, so add 140~lbs and you've got my race weight, full interior, winter tires, stock muffler on the end of the RB header, and a mild emissions legal port. A decent muffler and some non-winter tires should allow me to actually launch it hard, which I suspect would drop quite a bit of time off my run as that's the weakest spot right now. My slips are in the car but I think I had just shy of a 3 second 60' time, OUCH.

Now, to go wash those numbers off

hmmmm.... unrelated to original topic, but does anyone think you could use something like this for a blow through turbo setup?

*doh*

clutch is slipping if I do a hard shift into 3rd gear... I guess I'll just take it easy until next season, then I'll actually be able to afford real tires :

donuts can make really cheap skinnies for up front, it sounds strange and looks a weird but it will work. I wouldn't use it on a car going more than 120 mph, and i would have them balanced to 110 mph.

You can go 120 on a donut spare? I guess the ''do not exceed 55 MPH'' is just a suggestion then.

Most people put speed rated motorcycle tires on the donut rim.
