~Tis the time of the year~! Spring
Alright, so no that I'm friends with the bike builder my dad bought he harley off from, I'm going to get the bin rust taken care of first.
First thing I did today: Strip the rust, tar, and paint off and around the bad spots. This really was bad, even though its in about a 5x5 patch. This ate up the bracket on the outside, behind the rear wheel. So I'll be stripping that crap clean, and have some good 1/8 steel welded back in place for good structure.
I'm also going to be putting nice think plates on the underside of the car where the links connect, for extra protection also.
Then I'll be getting my Racing Beat road race header, ISC Racing dual 2" to single 3" collector and run 3" back to some muffler, not sure what yet.
Finally I'll get the exterior rust spots such as the rocker panels and see about getting my car primered by the end of summer.
WOW I have the whole summer planned right there.. I'm getting the wheel wells/structure done before I auto cross, because we plan to attend everyone in the Watkins Glen Region (NYS) and mabye some in state college are in PA, and some around Binghamton.
OH!! so you guys that live near or around me, If you have to get rid of that tar, NOW is the time to do so, because it chipped up in decent chunks easily, so go at it now, before it get hot and wont budge.
