*** Video *** SoFla RX-7 Club

Sorry for the cross post guys, but there are some clips of my car in action
which I thought you'd like to see.
------------------------------------
Well Guys,

If you were there, you know we all had a great time at the 8th
meet of the Miami Chapter of the South Florida RX-7 Club.
If you weren't there - then you missed out.

Pictures, are here - > IN THIS THREAD

The Video came out pretty good considering it was just me and and
my cameraman Tai. The large turnout of the event just made
it that much better. I had a great time, and hope to have more of these
meets next year - with a little track action thrown in.

The Video is available in several sizes:

Medium Quality - 50 Megs - FAST *** SERVER
Right Click and SAVE-AS. - Thanks to Vosko for hosting!

Low Quality - 10 Megs - decent server speed.
Right Click and SAVE-AS - Hosted by Putfile, if it doesn't work, then
CLICK HERE (although you can't save it on your PC)

OK Quality - Small Image -
CLICK HERE ( Hosted by Streetfire) might not work until tomorrow
Cannot be saved to your PC.

Very High Quality - 150 Megs - VERY SLOW SERVER
Remember, MegaUpload makes you click, wait 45 seconds or so,
and then download the file. The download link might be hidden behind
a pop up window. NOTE: MegaUpload link will only be active a few days.

After you see the video, please post any positive comments,
as I am curious to see what you think.

Thanks

Directfreak, for others wanting to make there cars fast what would you recommend for starting out? I am starting to work at a Mazda dealership tomorrow so hopefully I can make some real money over time. And I would really like to make my GSL much faster and better then it currently is. I am just curious as to what a good starting point of making a insane machine like yours really is?

1) Time
2) Money
3) Patience

All Kidding aside - you need to decide on your HP goals first, and then build for it. A lite 1st gen with 300HP is insanely fast to begin with. Especially with a properly sized turbo.

If I were to do it again - I would have gone Steve84GSTII's route, and swapped a full TurboII setup with stock ECU into the car. Reliability, speed, power, and all economical - plus no tuning needed.

Decent video. I got kind of bored watching cars travel at highway speeds, though. Few things I noticed/thought:

-That guy in the busted-*** red FD seemed kind of like squirrel. Looks like he almost got cleaned up in the last shot, too. When you took off from the toll booth, so did he; but he cut right in front of another car. May just be the camera angle, but he looked awfully close. Why was he so persistant in trying to race you? Camera *****?

-What the **** did that silver FD hit?

-How do people find the SCOOT hood attractive? God damn that thing is hideous....

I dunno, he's PM'ed me about racing a few times. I kept putting him off, telling him to race a friend of mine instead. He didn't go for it, so I guess the meet was a good chance to "show me". I guess he thinks a T-78 powered 400rwhp FD is faster than 500rwhp FB.

Tree debris - the park was a location for all the tree debris we've had from the recent hurricanes.

It's agressive and functional. Not attractive, but it works - Like my intercooler placement, LOL.

The Scoot hood keeps underhood temps a good 30-40 degrees cooler than a stock hood.

Damn it. I missed this by 24 hours. Yesterday I was home and could have downloaded it. Now I have to wait 2 weeks ... I'm sure it's a great video though. You always have good videos, Alex.

The Other Turbo FB is Lucky7305's here on the forum. It is a mint, (and I do mean mint) GSL-SE with a turbo 6 port - in the low 400's whp. It's just sick.
Wins 1st place at many car shows. The owner is really cool too.

The Z is a nice guy - it has a Turbonetics Single Turbo setup - and sounds awesome. Somewhere in the low 400rwhp range too.

He didn't want to run it though - He'd would've never heard the end of it, being a 2nd 350z to die to Project Kramer on video. Especially a turbo Z.
