lets hope he can get sell the car at a reasonable price. 39K is a little rdiculous. however, i still believe that something is only worth what someone else will pay for it(monatarily speaking of course).
I noticed that ad in Hemmings myself. I'd bet it's not a misprint; if the guy invested in an ad in that publication, he's probably serious. Maybe he figures if a 10AE with 6700 miles is worth $29,500, his rare yellow first year '79 is worth about $10,000 more.
These kind of crackpot RX-7 listings are becoming much more common. I wonder if anybody is actually paying anywhere close to these asking prices for any of these super-low mileage cars??

Well, ****. as long as you're paying... Its a good thing to know that spark yellow is, indeed, rare. Although, he doesnt even have the rare almex wheels. Trochoid, you better be asking like 45-50K
dang thats crazy. i tried calling just out of curiosity on a little bit of the cars history, but no pick up, and the mail box is full. All I'm gonna say is, spark yellow, for the win.
if there was only 347 spark yellow cars made in 79 then one of them is missing a sunroof. the sunroof for my silver 79 apparently came off a spark yellow car and was painted to match the silver car.
every1 is bitchin about this guys crazy if we all start sellin for that much they will go up woot but insted every1 wants to pay 500 bucks for then and wonder why they are worth nothing...bring on the high priced sa/fb i already have mine
i can always dream
+1, my 84 -se isnt for sale but some ppl have offered me 4k cash without sweating, but i was waitin for 10k mayb lol, if this guy sells that sa for 40k, man ima raise my goal from 10 to prob 30 or somethin then lol, hopefully someone gives me the 30 quick tho so i can buy another -se in tender blue i saw that's really nice and put the rest into my rx3 lol
I'm praying he gets his PRICE!
We can all laugh, but Back in the Day (mid 70s) when R100s were all over selling for $50 (dead, of course), who would have thought they would be worth $3-5K??? And decent runners:
$10K+??
...and I sold my nicely restored one with new 10a for $400 in '85
;p
Won't make the same mistake twice. This guy has the right idea, just about 15 yrs too soon IMHO
