thanks jeff20b. I figured you'd be the one to school me on the housings.
. Anything special about a 74-75 12a, or is it just a different stamp on the housings?
By the wa, I haven't fired it yet. I still have to finish plumbing in the carb an put a fuel pump in it. It started out sounding pretty low on the front rotor, but with a lot of mmo soaking, it's starting to sound better. Cross your fingers.

Special, no, unless you're planning an authentic restoration. Those older housings tend to wear quicker due to chrome flaking and chatter marks. The 13B housings from that era tend to be worth much more. The newer housings can last several times longer.
you got that off craigslist didnt you, the chairity rx-7, if you did you should thank my dad. He spent a month talking them down from there orriginal asking price.
the only reason im putting this post up is the WSU decal on th hatch i recognize it from the pics that where on cragslist. it is a nice car and im sure you will keep her running as long as you can.

Well, we just gave it to my son for his 16th birthday. I'm sure he'll be around asking questions. I just hope the 12a will run. I'd hate to have to give him the 13b out of the repu.

score.
