"This historic vehicle is priced for the elite collector."

Damn, I'm not elite.

I bet it was a case of:
Wife: You have to get rid of it.
Him: See? It's up for sale!

I looked up "Elite Collector" in the thesaurus... it said 'see "over-moneyed pigeon"."
Pretty sure that's not me.

Love the crooked choke ****, torn seat and pic of the engine (clearly not warmed up) screaming. Clearly they know how to take care of it....

the paint looks good and so does the interior, but I like the '47 mercury listed better.

It is obvious they meant the starting bid to be $3800 and then the zero key stuttered and then the backspace key wouldn't depress.

That's often caused by a loose nut in front of the keyboard.

No. Absolutely not. So I won't reply to his ad, nor will I think I'm being clever and act "smart" by offering $100.

At first I thought it was a price mistake. Now I'm not so sure. He has the same car listed on Autotrader for $49,995...which is 10k more than the ebay listing.

The seller is clearly misinformed or is looking for a idiot to give him a 5 figure offer.

A car's only worth what someone is willing to pay... That said, on average, the market won't support prices like that for FBs...yet. Or probably ever, actually. Hell, a clean 240Z would have trouble fetching that price, and it's commonly regarded as the collectible Japanese sports car.

At least they made an effort to detail the red one...

Our time might be coming....eventually.

The red one is way over-priced as well. That's why it has been on autotrader for almost a year. It doesn't help that it's an automatic.

There was a car listed semi-local to me about a year or more ago. Tender Blue SE with 23k miles, and the condition was insane. They were asking 13,900 and it wouldn't surprise me if they got that. I was going to go look at it the following weekend but it had sold already.
