When your buddy with an fc wants to race even though he thinks (and you know ;-) ) you will win.

Quindao, RX-7's use to be everywhere. In 1990, I'd easily see 2 or 3 different fb or fc's. That's when I got mine. Thought there would be a great support network because there was so many of them, but I didn't think I would hang on to mine for >>>> the next 22 years.<<<<

Now I recall exactly the last time I saw another one. And I drive mine thinking this maybe the trip when someone totals mine. Probability catches up.

And know you're an Rx-7 fb owner when the mazda dealer/salsman asks if your car has a rotary in it like the rx-8.

When the salesman at the Mazda dealership says "I can get you ANY truck you want"

And your reply is "get me a repu"

.... He said "no problem"... ... I just drove away.

When you wake up every day using "rare rx7" as your search in ebay just to hope you find a part that you don't need but must have.

Or when you have to start the car and drive it around the block once ever few days to keep the neighbors from complaining that it is just sitting there or so they don't call the police.

Or every time it rains I think to myself thank god I didn't hve to drive it in this crap (window seals)

Or you get all the hoodrats always trying to ask retarded questions when you are working on it. "Is it fast?" uh, yeah! "Are you gonna drift it?" Uh, no!

When you're sitting in your FB at a red light beside a bright yellow Lamborghini and the kids on the corner yell out "NICE CAR" - and you think they're talking about yours.

When you try to justify everything that's wrong with your car, saying that it gives it character.

when a kid yells look at the race car and points at yours when there are 3 modded mustangs in front

when people find out that rx7s where made in 78-85

when someone says to drop in a v8 and you smack them and say loud NOOOOOOO!!!! (true story)

when your crappy tuned carb and very bad running 12a can do better burnout then your friends truck

Did that the other day for the first time. BEST. THING. EVER.

When you type "Cool cars of the 80's" and a first Gen RX7 shows up FIRST!
cool cars of the 80's - Yahoo! Search Results

It might change over time, but I doubt it.

The clear cover over your interior light keeps falling off because one of the tabs is broken and the scotch tape you used to disquise it being broken only works for a little while. Gotta love it - both my original first gen and now my replacement first gen had/have the same issues.

Mark; a tiny dab or two of silicone at the edge will hold the cover on while leaving it easily removable for bulb changes.
