...when you find yourself arguing passionately about the SA / FB differences as if they were two different cars ! when if it came down to it, you'd pick either of them over most other cars ( including later generations of RX-7 ).

When you end up spending more on car parts and stereo equitment than the car itself. I think most people on this site will agree with me RX-7's make you have a desire to put money into them....

That kinda does **** me off, I see it more know that I actually drive a civic. All civic owners are not dumb, or high school kids, if you haven't figured that out lately. You just have to get in with the right crowd. I have only own my civic for 5 months and its turboed and all that crap with a standalone on it for under $400. It is just insane how much you can do for such little money.

But anyway back to this.

When you start your car to warm it up and knock pictures off the walls inside your house.

When you blow a hole in the side of your distributor b/c you break a part of the rotor off, mean while snapping your alternater belt b/c of over revving on a stuck throttle.

You replaced your fuel pump atleast twice!

And you had to answer the "why does your car have 4 spark plugs but only two cylinders?"

...people at work never ask you for a ride
...you ignore exhaust leaks because nobody with 50 feet can hear anything anyway
...when you go to junkyards you always check for ignitors in every rotary
...you've tasted mmo (not as tasty as it smells)

When you spend all of your free time on this forum because your car is in storage and you can't drive it, but being on this forum reminds you of how great it will be when the spring rolls around and you can drive it again. I hate winter!

When you decide where you want to be when you roll over 200K miles on the odometer, and then plan trips so that it works out. Hmmm. That may be a sign of being a middle aged engineer too...

you start it, let it "warm up", go to take off and it dies reassuring you that YES IT WAS TO SOON TO TAKE OFF.
-your steering wheel pops about a inch towards the driver making the blinkers still stay on after turns and you bring it to the steering column guy he looks at it for about 10 minutes and seriously says...i don know?
-you were going to buy a 240 as your first car and when walking to your friends house one day you find a pretty beat down 85 gs rx7 and with in one hour were signing over the title.
lol this is the best thread ever

... when you reflexisively call up your RX-7 on Mitchell On Demand and All Data no matter what car you are actually working on...

... when 90% of this thread actually applies to you...

... when you want to buy the shirt with phrases from this thread on it.

Hope I didn't duplicate any, only made it to page 18 while at class... gotta actually get to work.

Damn, I laughed out loud at the first line of that one. This thread is always good for a few cheap laughs. How 'bout this one?

...

...

That is sooo me. I wanted a 240z, I got one but it turned out to be a rust bucket, and then I found an RX-7 for free (non-op '83 GS) and somehow using my Necromantic Skills from working on old computers for years, revived it.

Scary, scary, scary thread, this is.

Here's another one: People no longer bother to tell you that your car is leaving behind a blue smokescreen.

... when you've found out the best way to explain any problems is: 'Its a First Gen. Its just what they do.'
