I guess I would have to agree that is not that great a find. I too purchased from Cali and had it shipped to FL. Mine did not have a cracked windshield, missing belts, failed smog inspections, etc, but it IS a 5-letter in excellant condition sen the paint fade due to color vs sun, and the dented fender. I would call "Tom" re: "Runs and drives, I drove it around the block" to see if this car can actually go farther. Good luck if you DO decide to bid and win it. Since you are in CA as well, it should not be too far to go see in person. Also I would find out what you would have to do to get it to pass the smog inspection, or you may find yourself stuck with the car like he is!

It is worth about $1,000 to $1,500, any more than that you bought an expensive beater. California Craigslist is full of decent first gens in that price range.

I used to let my Dobbie ride in the back, nothing like a 100lb dog with attitude. I could run into the convenience store and leave it running with the windows down. No body ever looked twice at it, once was enough
