Wiper motor

Well my wiper motor decided to quit in a driving rain on I 71 coming home from Goodguys today in Columbus. Had to sit out about three hard storms. I can’t find a replacement anywhere. Used ones on eBay. I’d rather have one I can just bolt in and be done. Anyone know anyplace I might find one? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some options however, you didn't identify what year your car is but there are different years in the link below. Hope you find one that will work for you.

You can always create a want to buy ad here on the forum in the marketplace section. Also look for parts outs on Facebook marketplace as well.

Is the motor bad or did the wiper pivots just lock up?

Disassembling, cleaning, and relubricating the pivots seems to need to be done after 20 years or so. There's no weather seal between the steel shaft and bronze (?) guide post, other than the wiper arm sitting over it, and it corrodes and gets tight.

Another thing to check is if the connector has withered away. It happened to mine and was shorting out, the fuse kept popping.
The plastic was so brittle I didn't need tools to move the terminals to a new connector.

the linkage is all new. Motor still has the plastic cover. No corrosion. I think the motor just gave up after like 45 years.

There is a guy that buys and sells used an nos parts in the Akron area. Check Facebook or Craig’s list. He has a ton of parts. I sold all of my extra parts to him when I sold my last RX-7.
