Window Trim Silver? Anyone tried this?
Friend of mine sent me this link, it appears it would work wonders on peeling paint on the windshield trim. Much easier than pulling them off to paint... or taping the car off.
Think its worth a shot?

it is neat but i prefer to paint the trim. it looks great when painted and i would worry about the longevity of the vinyl. plus, with the time you would have cutting the vinyl to the exact shape and making sure everything is perfect, you could paint the trim.

I used "trim black" tape on my SA for several years before I got around to stripping & repainting the trim. It worked surprisingly well, though it does take a lot of work to get just right, & will only look really good if you feather-edge any pitted or peeling paint ahead of time.
In fact, while prepping for SevenStock last year, I discovered that the trim strip on the front edge of my driver's side rear triangle glass was still taped; I thought I'd painted everything some years back, and didn't realize I'd completely missed this one part. The tape still looked so good that I only noticed it when I was waxing next to it, and saw a tiny bit of the edge that had worked loose.
If it can fool the guy who put it on, I'd say it works tolerable well.
Paint is more durable, though, if your car is out in the weather a lot.

When you guys painted the trim what brand and color did you use?
Also did you remove the trim or just mask it on the car?
I know Ray Green did this last year but I was wondering how you all did it.

That vinyl looks like a cheap way make a permanent bra on the front or to black out the hood. Just an idea or two.
