The radio puzzles me a a bit - - did the LS come with a different radio and surround? My '80 had the traditional one-****-each-side Clarion, yet this looks factory.
Glen, thats the original radio that came with the LS. my LS has an identical radio:

The cassette player must have been an option, then - - the car being advertised doesn't have it, has the standard "gotta fill the hole somehow" storage pocket instead.

Nice phone pic's! Interesting idea about the casette being an option. It makes sence that the LS got an updated stereo over a GS, but I would have thought that all LS's got the same overall system? I noticed a small hole on the very left of the radio face. Dave, does a light go there? The HOT section on the heat controll panel is still RED! Can't tell you how many of these have faded to pink or white. The chrome trim on the shift sorround still looks nice too. It may have spent a lot of time garaged or under a cover.

Overall, she looks basically clean but with some effort and elbow grease it could be transformed into an absolute stunner! Hope it goes to a good home

perhaps the cassette player was an option. i also would've thought that the LS would've come with every option possible (sans an auto trans of course). i can tell you that the cassette player in my LS is factory and it still works fine.

the small hole we see in the radio face in the pics posted by deadphoenix52 is also in the stereo on my LS. no light goes there and it serves no functional purpose that i know of. i'll check the owners manual thats in the glove box and see if it makes any reference to it.
