I'm sure some members are tracking this but just FYI, a clean appearing pretty complete and un modified 1980 LS in white, from TX. $5,500. Only 54K claimed miles I'd like to see some engine shots. Actually a fair price (I think) if it's as nice as it might be and looks. No, I have no connection to this.

Very nice. It's not Solar Gold, but still, very nice if the provenance holds up. Tires are old school RWLs, but not the originals, which you'd expect +50,000 miles. Tires back then were good for a bit more than half that. Can't quite make out the brand, though.

 

the tires definatly caught my attention as well Glen. they look like Daytona's but i could be wrong on that.

 

There's a sunrise red 83 on ebay as well. The 83 must have had a repaint because the sticker is missing from the fuel filler door.

The letter count (7) is right, but there's just not enough pixels to be sure. I don't think it says "COOPER," either.

this car was pristine!! i was tempted to sell my 8 lol. turned the key and it fired up in about a second. the auto choke and everything was functioning perfectly. a little grime in the engine bay. some degreaser and a hose would take car of that pronto.

That is a really, really clean original. Little dirt and underside rust, but I'm fully willling to trust the mileage statement based on those pics. Even the radiator hoses look to be original.

The radio puzzles me a a bit - - did the LS come with a different radio and surround? My '80 had the traditional one-****-each-side Clarion, yet this looks factory.

 

they also had full documentation. and there were no big cracks in the leather seats. carpets were clean. i was seriously contemplating selling my rx8. cuz this would be just as, if not more reliable. a/c still blows cold and everything. this car is a bargain at $5500.
