I remember racing beat or mazdatrix writing about the hp increases that were achieved after making a few changes, most from the exhaust. From the top of my head, I remember them saying that a stock GSL-SE with a full single racing exhaust, K&N filter, and increased timing put out a whopping 168 ponies. Can anyone dig up that article. It may even be in one of their catalogs, which I don't have.

It's most likely in their '85 and older catalogue. Or it could be in their newer '99 or '05 catalogues.

As I recall, the stock GSL-SE puts out 135HP. An RB upgraded SE puts out 156 which includes their dual pipe 'street port' exhaust system. Then finally their dellorto intake setup added an additional 21HP for a total of 177. I think they advanced the timing a little too.

So 177HP with bolt ons. There you have it.
