Where to get a flare?

I didn't think this was much of a technical question to warrant having this on the
other board, but anyways:

Redoing the oil pressure and oil temp lines on my oil pedestal. I have Autometer
Sport Comp II gauges in the A pillar, one Oil Temperature (electrical) and one Oil
Pressure (mechanical). The electrical one is easy, I have that already soldered
and shrink wrapped. Now, the mechanical gauge came with a tube that the oil
goes into, to give the gauge it's reading. Now, on the pedestal side I removed
the nut to get the line out, and the line had the (brass?) flare on it, looked like a
cone. Well, long story short, this was already used and it was crimped at the top
from where you screw down the nut behind it. I had the bright idea to attempt to
drill it to open the flare back up so I can put the line back into it. Well, I wasn't
really holding it that tight and it flew off... somewhere in the garage. Now I need
another one. I called autometer and they said they would call me back on finding
the flare or the sizes so I can go to a part store and get it. Never got the call
back.

Anyone know where I can find a flare for this?

O'reillys and Autozone should have the "Oil Pressure Gauge Tubing Kit ", it'll come with a new line, new nuts and the crush flares. I had to get one to replace my old line that was leaking in the same place, costs about $15.

edit: here ya go

If the flare has a bevel on both sides, it's probably a common plumbing part found at any hardware store. No need to buy the full kit. My line kit is all 1/8", yours looks to be the same.

They should be 1/8" and any industrial supply place should sell them for cheap. Check that if you want to save cash, or just go with the kits from any local parts store.

its cheaper to go to OSH or Homedepot or Lowes. I just cant remember what they are called but you can get them for +/- $1. thats cheaper than buying the entire kit from autozone for $10+
