check this ******* **** out ( sorry about the words im pist right now) i go to bed last night and wake up this morning and i find a ******* tree on my car, my rx7 none the less if it was my nissan it would be ok, its covered and now i have to wait for the city to remover the treee bc it was on city property. it covered on all sides of the car i dont know what is damaged or not but the city workers are going to be out here soon( 6hrs) and i want to be here when they remove it and they need to get here soon bc i have a job interview with Rolls Royce this morning! soo here are some pictures.

my girlfriend just repaired her car from a branch that fell on hers. i can only imagine the damage from a whole tree. sorry to hear about this, man.

wow!!! hopefully if there is damage there are only some scratches and not major body damage or broken glass. thats awful my friend. keep us updated on the tree removal!!

That's a nice tree it looks all fluffy. Probably didn't even scratch the paint.

 

Can you tell how much tree weight is on the car?

 

If the tree was on city property, shouldn't they foot the bill for the repairs?

 

thanks guys for your concern there is no major body damage everything is still intact there are some scratched in the paint looks like mostly in the clear coat, there are some deeper scratches in the paint not too bad but im picky and if the tree didnt fall on my car they would have never been there. besides for a 20+ yr paint job my clear coat was in pretty damn condition. im going to the city clerks office tomorrow if Rolls Royce doesnt want me in for further info and everything else.

oh and i think that the interview went well i ll know what there desision is by no later then tomorrow. what sucked is that it took me over an hour to drive from vallejo to oakland airport this morning!

damn dude i know how hurricanes are i use to live in miami fl all you can do is hope and pray.

 

i couldnt really tell but at first look it seems like alot. the body looked alil lower and closer to the rear wheel than normal this morning

Man I feel for you, I lost my car in Charlie, IN florida, my neibors Royal Palm wich is a massive Palm tree completely flattened my seven... Hope everythings well

 

a lil update i filed my claim against the city and it is in the final stages all i am waiting for the approval. they are told me that my car is worth $3204 and there is a $250 for something and i ll get $2950 for the damages to my car and the best thing is, is that i get to keep my car and my title is not going to be salvaged so i hope that everything goes well and wish me luck boys!

im sure this going to get moved to non tech bc we didnt have the non tech when this thread was started so go on and move this over Doc

The RR job ever come through for you? What kind of position were you applying for?

Ouch sucks about the car, but it's life. A car can be fixed.

 

no Rolls Royce fall through they led me on for about 2 1/2 weeks and then told me that they decided not to hire for the position anymore. i was tring to get on as an engine assembly and i was going to use the experince from that to get my A&P to make even more money there or go somewhere else.

luckly the isnt too far beyond fixing its got some dents on the hood and the paint has a lot of chip and scratches on the clear and color coat and i had my metal roof on when it happened (luckly) so thats dinged up too but i have the glass on right now. it will be fixed but its not number one priority i want everything mech in tune first b4 i go for paint.
