Plus materials; cloth, foam, vinyl, even the glue adds up at $10 a can (used 1.5 cans). Plus Bandaids... my thumb skin got so dried out from the combination of glue, acetone, and constantly pushing/pulling on cloth that it's cracked open near the nail on my right hand, like the world's worst hangnail.
I managed to staple one finger on the very last staple I shot, & had to pull it off the back of the panel.
Many pin sticks.
I do suffer for my art.

As threatened, Pics
The front spider bearings are the REALLY BAD set. The rear was not too great either.
See how my + wheels look fresh from previous owner? The single wheel pic is the odd one. The others have a concentric brush-like finish. Watch for updates on their New and Improved appearance in about a month. Missing 1 cap (bummer).

Drove with the WHiV crew up a mountain cruise; just a little hundred-mile jaunt to 8500 feet...
Then had a lovely barbecue, then drove home; another 250 miles or so.
Seats have definitely passed the quality control check - I can still feel my legs!
Now, I just need to find an appropriate spot in my office for this little gem:

The tradition with the WHiV trophies is that they bear pictures of class winners from the previous year.
But I have to admit it's very cool to win a trophy with a picture of my car on it. Dream come true!
It's seriously a great meet - good people, fun things to do, a great raffle, Some excellent cars (100% rotary-powered is the rule) and very welcoming to out-of-towners, and show registration was only $20. First-gen class was the largest this year - - anyone who is in driving reach should attend, you'll have a good time.
They even got a great group rate on the hotel. And the rooms were huge.

I have an 84 GSL SE with no working horn. Where is the horn relay switch hiding? it is the only component in the system I haven't checked yet. I've asked this in a few different forums on here and no one seems to know? Please help, I'd really like to get this gem back on the road as soon as possible

First thing I would do is put 12V across the horn and make sure it sounds. Second thing is pry off the rubber cap on the horn switch and check for 12V on the switch ring. If that isn't there you will need to pull the steering wheel to make sure the switch wire is plugged in. If you verify that the 12V is there and goes away when you push the switch then you know the relay is there and plugged in. If no 12V at the horn switch then the relay is missing/unplugged or the fuse is blown. If the brake lights work then the fuse is good since it is the same fuse. I suspect connectors are not connecting before the relay being shot as the most likely. The horn is kind of out in the weather so look at that end of the wire first. Check that the horn is well grounded. If you scroll up I have a picture of the horn switch with the cap removed just a week ago or so in this thread.
Best Wishes!
