for being differenet..there still are a lot of rare wheels that you can pick up..and for bodykits i would use the ones by MariahMode..they are sick.i mean they used to be used for racing...now how different is that...

I have installed this kit on my rex. To answer your questions, it will fit an s/a, with lots of body work on the front end because it is made to fit more precisely with the later first gen models with the rounded front bumpers and signal lights. Also, the rear end has the licence plate holder in the bumper so if you want your plate there you will need to remove the licence plate lights (more body work). The side skirts on mine were pretty warped so I ended up fiberglassing them on as well. THis is definitely not a bolt on kit. Not of excellent quality either as mine is showing some cracks now in the fiberglass on the front and rear bumpers.

I think it looks awesome though.

the main problem with this kit that really really makes a lot of people not buy it, is that you have to buy the WHOLE kit. if you buy just the front and slap it on, you will see about 3-4 inches lower then the stock lines of the side of your car. it looks horrible, forcing you to get the side skirts to even out the rest of the car, even the rear which is very poor looking like a lot of people say. I used to have this front on my 85 GS:

The great thing about it was that it lined right up with the side of the car so no sideskirts were needed. Unfortunately this kit you're looking at wont do that, and it's extremely hard to shape the kit for proper fitting, not worth it either. I love the front, but did they have to design it so low?!

just get respeed coils, rims, and fender flairs.
it will look 100x better and will perform 100x better than any honda.

OK. Since it is hard to install i WONT buy it. I like that red one!

Ha ha Rx7's are very different because of the rotary.

I love it when people look at it and go "wtf? No cylinders? What does it run on?" alll i say is "Lets just put it like this... it runs on a big... heavy.... metal... TRIANGLE!"

i got my fb when i was 16 and i had all these plans to put a big stereo on it, a cool body kit, a cool wing...but after i got my car and had it for a week, i realize that it's pretty enough already, sure some body kits look cool, but it doesn't need it, it's got awesome lines to go with it. besides if you just put all them looks on it and no go...you will get made fun of by honda guys lol...on the other hand you can always brag to them that your 1.2 litter just beat their little honda's ***.

Sorry, but this is probably the worst comparison I've ever heard. Vintage Ferrarri's cost 100x what these cars cost. You don't buy a vintage Ferrarri with the intention to modify it, nor, more than likely, the intention to even DRIVE it.

Many people buy an RX7 with these intentions. Why not? It's small, light, RWD... what more could you want?

While I agree with the whole "classic lines" argument, I also think it's his car, and if you don't like the body kit, nobody is making you buy it. If he likes the body kit, no matter how irrational his reasoning may be, in the end, you don't have to drive it, and he's not asking you to pay for it.

I still think stock is for suckers... a stock SA/FB is a slug, albeit a nice looking car. How would restoring a car make you different? There are tons of restored and modified cars alike. How is my lightly modified SA any different? It's not.

i completely agree it is his car, but he did ask for opinions so he's just getting it :P, on the other hand, the only think i'd change about a stock first gen is the rear bumper, it just sticks out and that makes it ugly, other than that, i think it's got awesome lines, even the original front bumper is pretty cool .

I want to put some sort of body kit on the front. I dont like the stock one. Otherwise the rest is going to be stock.

I do want some awesome fender flares though!

+1! I definately want to get some rivet-on flares, and do some sort of air dam in the front. Not a huge one, but just to accentuate (sp?) the lower lip a little. I'll probably get out the sheet metal and make my own.

Ah! Return of the mud-colored FB!

That SA is sexy, needs a little less wing.

Is it just me, or do those cars not look "real"?

the red ones rims don't match ... i mean they REALLY don't match
any-who i agree its you car and everything but, mod it so you can take it back to stock when and if you feel like it.
although if i was you id would track down a newer cheap 1... still a first gen of coarse and mod the hell out of it. i mean i got my SA for $100 and i had to entirely redo the interior so i figured restore the whole damn thing and then buy me 1 for my personal funtime.... lol
any-who its your car do what you want with it but most importantly have fun while you fix her up and sure as hell have fun when your driving her.
