for being differenet..there still are a lot of rare wheels that you can pick up..and for bodykits i would use the ones by MariahMode..they are sick.i mean they used to be used for racing...now how different is that...

I have installed this kit on my rex. To answer your questions, it will fit an s/a, with lots of body work on the front end because it is made to fit more precisely with the later first gen models with the rounded front bumpers and signal lights. Also, the rear end has the licence plate holder in the bumper so if you want your plate there you will need to remove the licence plate lights (more body work). The side skirts on mine were pretty warped so I ended up fiberglassing them on as well. THis is definitely not a bolt on kit. Not of excellent quality either as mine is showing some cracks now in the fiberglass on the front and rear bumpers.
I think it looks awesome though.

the main problem with this kit that really really makes a lot of people not buy it, is that you have to buy the WHOLE kit. if you buy just the front and slap it on, you will see about 3-4 inches lower then the stock lines of the side of your car. it looks horrible, forcing you to get the side skirts to even out the rest of the car, even the rear which is very poor looking like a lot of people say. I used to have this front on my 85 GS:
The great thing about it was that it lined right up with the side of the car so no sideskirts were needed. Unfortunately this kit you're looking at wont do that, and it's extremely hard to shape the kit for proper fitting, not worth it either. I love the front, but did they have to design it so low?!

OK. Since it is hard to install i WONT buy it. I like that red one!
Ha ha Rx7's are very different because of the rotary.
I love it when people look at it and go "wtf? No cylinders? What does it run on?" alll i say is "Lets just put it like this... it runs on a big... heavy.... metal... TRIANGLE!"

Many people buy an RX7 with these intentions. Why not? It's small, light, RWD... what more could you want?
While I agree with the whole "classic lines" argument, I also think it's his car, and if you don't like the body kit, nobody is making you buy it. If he likes the body kit, no matter how irrational his reasoning may be, in the end, you don't have to drive it, and he's not asking you to pay for it.
I still think stock is for suckers... a stock SA/FB is a slug, albeit a nice looking car. How would restoring a car make you different? There are tons of restored and modified cars alike. How is my lightly modified SA any different? It's not.

the real deal
Now you see here... This is a prime example of what an fb needs to look like. Front kit, black meshies, and a midnight blue paint job. Did you pick my brain??? and where the hell did you get those clear lenses??? custom fab or bought ? very nice touch.

Sorry, but this is probably the worst comparison I've ever heard. Vintage Ferrarri's cost 100x what these cars cost. You don't buy a vintage Ferrarri with the intention to modify it, nor, more than likely, the intention to even DRIVE it.

proud SA care-taker
the red ones rims don't match ... i mean they REALLY don't match
any-who i agree its you car and everything but, mod it so you can take it back to stock when and if you feel like it.
although if i was you id would track down a newer cheap 1... still a first gen of coarse and mod the hell out of it. i mean i got my SA for $100 and i had to entirely redo the interior so i figured restore the whole damn thing and then buy me 1 for my personal funtime.... lol
any-who its your car do what you want with it but most importantly have fun while you fix her up and sure as hell have fun when your driving her.
