NC Vin Problems

Hey guys, I'm new to the whole RX7 world and to this forum. I tried a search and came up with nothing on this topic....

I'm just about to buy an FB for about $200,so me and the wife can have some fun restoring it. its only got 143,203 miles one owner and she has all of the paper work for every oil change and service she has ever had done to the car, she is currently out of town so i have been trying to find out before she gets back, I've been trying to find out what year it is and according to your FAQ page the 8th digit is supposed to be the year...

Vin: 1FB3325E0811612

See according to the FAQ: A= 1981 B=1982 C=1983 D=1984 F=1985

does it mean mine is a 84 1/2? lol

I thank you all in advance for any help.

Welcome to the club.

Looks like I need to fix the FAQ..should be like this:

B= 1981 C=1982 D=1983 E=1984 F=1985

So you have an '84..also looks like you got a GSL-SE based on the VIN (EFI, 13B engine). Same car as me.

Also, add you name to the SA & FB Registry that we have going.

~ $200 for an 84 GSL-SE... Wow! You scored! Post some exterior and interior pictures when you can. Congratulations and welcome to the Club! There are some pretty big club meets in NC that you might want to search for and attend in the future.
