A Tribute to our friend Stu
This is sad news, as I've been so inactive on the RXclub message boards. I'd never met Stu; however, I still have our PMs as we'd discussed the RX8 seat installs, Rear axle swaps, etc. He was very helpful and kind in his responses and had such a great appreciation for the RX7. Hats off to Stu!

Rest in peace Stu . Never met him but he did provide me , and all of us for that matter, with great tips and I'm sure he was a great friend to all who knew him ! A true rotorhead at heart.
Sad to hear we lost another rotary soldier. I hope he could take his parts with him. I remember he had so many unique and special SA parts that were collected over the years. He was always an inspiration to push me to the next project. RIP Stu!
Can't believe I missed this, Stu will be greatly missed indeed. I didn't know him personally but I'll never forget him signing off every post by name. And it wasn't his auto-sig, he added it himself every time. It was a nice personal touch. One heck of a knowledgeable guy, and my condolences to all who knew him. Rest in peace Stu.
Hard to believe we've lost a few great ones recently, GSLSEforme, Stu, and perhaps Jeff as he hasn't been on for quite some time? It's different place without those incredible rotorheads.

If anyone's interested, Stu's car is up and open for bidding now, on BaT.

I often wondered what had become of his car and parts collection. Stu and I had discussed me purchasing a shifter panel with boot for my 80 LS and he unfortunately passed away before I sent the money. It still makes me sad to think about losing him. He was an incredible guy and offered his incredible wealth of knowledge here on the forum. I would love to be able to buy his car. It was meticulously maintained and I feel as though it would be one of the best examples of an SA here on the forum. Its just unfortunately not the right time financially for me. I really hope the car goes to a loving home. It definitely deserves to be loved and cared for.

I would love to make it down and spend the weekend there. Its always been scheduling for me and the last five years has also been for health reasons. Now that my health is better, I would love to make the time and take the trip. I feel like I'm missing out every year that I don't go. I would love to meet more people from the forum as well. It would be great to hang out and put faces with names.

Dave, it was at DGRR this year. Its a stunning car to see in person. Very clean and well done. His rotary buddy from Arizona @RCCAZ 1 presented it to try to sell it privately. It was great meeting him as well. This is why you, Dave, need to make it to DGRR. Hope to see you there some year!
Thanks to everyone for their kind words on Stu’s BAT auction. I’m AZrotorhead on BAT and in charge of selling his “Beloved” Lil Red Bastid for his widow. We were great friends, often joking that we were Rotary Brothers from different Mothers. Stu was meticulous with everything on his car, and drove it like he stole it. His passion for all things rotary was contagious. Our community definitely lost a great friend and mentor.
