If that's the condition you bought it in, you certainly got a great deal.

You were at the wrong car show today my friend. You should have been at the Iola Old Car Show instead. There was a super clean FB for sale about 2 miles down the road from the show as well. You seemed to get a hell of a deal on that car too. That's awesome. Take care of her

Not surprised. Even here in car crazy Southern California I run into quite a few folks who are attracted to the lines of the first generation RX-7 who don't know what it is.

$1K was a very good price for such a good looking car. Congrats!

yes its the s model but what really gets me is it has the limted slip....it has drum brakes but for sure has a locked rear, im not too sure how yet but i am gong to look in the diff next week, i highly doubt it was welded or has a spool just because it had one owner and he was an older guy who baught it brand new in 86, but it most deffinantly has posi lol, it does very nice 360's and lays beautiful rubber haha

it will not have the limited slip. the limited slip was only available with the GSL disc brake rear end.

congrats man, if my car had been cleaned today i think i would have done the same, i was looking for a ju-jitsu class downtown today and came across a car show, seemed like there was nothing but muscle cars tho lots of badass cars non the less, but idk if imports would have been appreciated...yes it seemed like that kind of atmosphere lol.

oh and on teh rear end i havent opened teh diff yet but it must have either a spool or its welded cuz i was cruisin around town today and noticed some chirping while idling through turns...

The few shows I put my car in I got a lot of people asking about it. I was hoping to have mine in a show next week, but now Im finally getting around to tuning my new carb. SOB.

If I can put it on the road, tune the carb, bleed the brakes, put on an exhaust quick, bleed the clutch and a few minor things...THEN I can go. hahaha

Clean buy for a grand though! I bought my rust free 7 for 1750, then put 600 more into a paint job 2 days after I got it home. 800 more into the engine compartment this summer and now Im done til next year. Cars are expensive.
