Things you've made for your RX-7

I'm just finishing up machining this at work to install on the street-ported S5 13B I'm swapping into my GSL-SE:

I'm interested in seeing what you guys have made for your 7's. I know we're an intelligent bunch, so there's got to be some pretty cool stuff out there... so let's see it!

I'll have to take pics, but I made a subframe to mount my S5 T2 in my FB using the center iron mounts as if it were still in a FC, that came out pretty nicely. Wish I could machine things though..

I made some safety-orange parking pillars, to keep the wife from hitting the -7 in the garage... made from "fun-noodles."

Making a lightweight flywheel for yourself? I hope that you have a scatter shield just in case.

I made an extended exhaust bracket for my resurrected -from-busted-bits stock exhaust:

And a replacement air-pipe sealing washer, from sheet stock:

I ran FEA on the design and it's well within safety limits, but I was thinking of putting a shield in for extra insurance. The material I'm using is the same as aftermarket parts, and the design isn't much different...

I made a mount for my Holley FPR, to position it away from the pinch weld. I need to redo it in the next couple weeks since the original one was made from pretty thin steel. I have thicker stuff at home and now I know what I'm going for so it should be easier. You can kind of see it towards the passenger side on the firewall.

I agree, that 2 stroke tank bracket looks great! Some of the other stuff on here does too, guess we have some talented metalworkers on here.

there's a mod for the OMP that allows the use of an external tank.

I made a sunroof storage bag for my spare roof; I worked into it web straps and grommets that allow it to hang on the garage wall:

I'm considering taking it to an embroidery place, and getting the RX-7 logo (the one on the front quarter) done on the flap in silver. Probably only cost a few bucks.

I made this center console for my cd player and for my gauges, I still have not finished it around the shifter or around the heater controls, but it works. I cut the stainless with a plasma cutter then punched the holes and slots with a punch press.

I also designed and made this carb hat, and ducted it toward the front with a K&N filter. I designed it in Solid Works and transfered it to Surf Cam to program it for a 3 Axis CNC. I cut it on a OKK out of a solid piece of aluminum.

I made a water temp sensor manifold to hold my water temp sensor. I made this style and also made a style for the heater hose for some one else. I turned them on a manual lathe and drilled and tapped them on a mill.
