Targa band

I want to know what you guys think of the targa band. Personally I don't like it.I wouldn't want my rx7 or rx7s in particular to look like a porsche 911
post pix of your targa band.

Has nothing to with mn lol. I have said this time and time again. I love my rx7 to death always will. But if you dont like the targa band than thats your deal. In all regards i get tired of people compareing the 7's to 911's In all reality you would have to be on crack to not take say a 74 911 over a 7. Far superior machine in every aspect. But hey to each his own.

If you prefer 911's that much more than Rx-7, why not trade your 7 for one. Personaly I prefer the look of a first gen much more than an old 911, and I believe they have a more origional look than a 911. Not to say I don't like the 911's; however, like you said "to each his own". I guess I just like the "uniqueness" of a first gen.

I'm not making fun of the Targa or whatever but it does remind me of a Porsche.

If its chrome then it be a different story. I never seen one in
mn are they rare.

The RX-7 can never look like a 911. The proportions aren't right. A Porsche 928 or 944 on the other hand is a different story.

Eww...chrome? Brushed stainless looks much better.

Mines a Targa and has the rear spoiler which are 2 out of the 3 parts of the IMSA package. It looks nothing like the 911 Targa.

My car.

Even the bands themselves look nothing alike.

Oh uhh... I just noticed you response to my response.

The Porsche is a picture I got off of google, not my car.

And the Weber is a 40 IDF.

you ppl and your 911's i personally think they resemble a 924 http://www.ssip.net/upload/porsche-924-front-1_192.jpg

or a 944 http://www.chooseyouritem.com/exotic...000/120097.jpg

I concur. RX-7 and 924 were considered rivals and both "poor man's Porsche".

speaking of targas, anybody have any info on the Petty Targa RX-7? I've googled, but all I can find is people selling the brochures. Here's an eBay one. Were they ever made?
