Sweet Spark SA Project on Craigs -not mine!!
must sell 1979 mazda rx7 2 door coup rotary engine 48000 miles
MODS - not my car!!!! Please allow posting for interest and discussion.
In Reno NV. Checks some nice boxes -
-low mileage (if true. Friend inspected and thinks so)
-gotta Luv Spark Yellow!
-Keyholes!
-Glass Roof
-interior very nice, tho may be due for new dash pad?
Friend in Reno went over and eyeballed it (he owns a 79 Bronze and a few other early Rotaries an knows these cars) and noted it now has a dent in a rear fender that is not shown, but seemed to think it might be pulled out w/o damage to paint. Owner started at $3400, now apparently @ $1900...
His note to me:
"Hi Stu,
The car does have some really strong points. At the top of the list is
the interior, very nice. It has a dash carpet so couldn't tell if it was
cracked or not. Nice seats, original radio, great carpet, great rear carpet
which is covered by the louvers. Glass '79 moonroof! The keyhole
wheels are in great shape but the tires are cheap cheap and appear to be quite old even
though they have lots of tread. The body is weathered and there is that
dent on the rear fender. Perhaps painless dent repair could take it out? No
loss of paint in that area. Really needs a respray or a two week Zaino session.
New shocks and struts and maybe springs to even out the stance. Like you
say, ticks many boxes but far from perfect. He has it priced at $1950 obo at
this time (monday) and I think he was asking $3400 last week then $2500 this
weekend. "

i saw that car and i like it too. the drivers door and quarter panel don't match, so i'd suspect paint work, but i'm not sure that's a big deal
