What filter did you use for the first two shots? The blue looks pimp purple O.o

 

It looks like sodium lights in the parking lot. The color temp is lower so the waves coming back are different color from his metal flake. It's a very sweet paint for a blue.

 

Ahh metal flake that explains it :P

 

I could be wrong it could just be the paint is close to purple and the flake is not changing the color. Experiment time...

 

I've seen something similar to that happen with flaked paint before... because under sodium lights it would be a bit darker and not that readily purple...

Unless those lights are close to the ground and when you took the pictures the car was close by to them?

 

The across the street shot is just really high contrast, and I'm not sure why, but some times the car does look purple...it is supposed to be "Estoril Blue Metallic" a BMW color ....


but yeah, hopefully more on they way, my friend has a camera (car) mount on the way so we should be able to get some sweet moving shots!

 

Thats a gorgeous SA its been the desktop at my work computer for months. The one black and whit shot you have at tha gas station.
