While I was cleaning up the hatch area, I decided to upgrade (somewhat) the stock rear speakers. Nothing too exciting but I thought I'd share for the hell of it...

Wow, yours are in surprisingly good shape. When I pulled mine out the surrounds were completely gone, and most of the paper cone had disintegrated.

For those that have never seen the stock speakers, you don't understand how crappy they are until you feel them. They might be using the worst paper ever to make the cones.

 

my stock speakers sound pretty freakin good. i couldnt believe it when i hooked up my cd player in it. my last first gen's speakers were completly gone like JKM said though.

 

All my stock speakers were busted to hell. They would be better off using newspaper for the cones...
