Special Edition RX-7 Registry & Info (79 LE, 80 10AE, 80 Leather Sport, 83 LE)
The dealer option list is interesting to see. They really dressed the car out for more profit.
I think they should have stuck all that stuff on a regular GS car and left the LS unmolested. They probably turned around and installed the gold waffles on another car for an additional up charge to someone else too. I remember seeing this car when it was listed for sale. Looks like you've cleaned it up some.

It comes down to personal preference. It did leave the dealership, new in this configuration. Black LS's are pretty rare all on their own. Some may really like the modifications, others-not so much. But you do have the documentation to back up how the car left the lot and that helps satisfy those who value originality.
Bottom line, although it's an LS thats been modified, its hard to argue that it isn't original. It's kind of a one of one situation. Not sure it would be worth more than an un-touched LS, but to some it might be, or at least, wouldn't matter. All depends on who's looking and what they prefer. I think I might leave it dressed as is. Maybe go back to the gold waffles or search for a set of wires. I think Ray Green here from the old guys with 12A's club had a set a while back.

I have started the process if getting it sorted. I have a long way to go still. Dealer optioned vs unmolested LS is something I am going back and forth with. Do I keep all of the dealer options on it? Do I revert it back to factory? Technically everything on it is official Mazda dealer options and I have never had a problem with how the cars looked from the factory and would be happy to see it that way. On the other hand, how often do you come across all of these options on one car and they are still on the car. Good news is I have enough other projects to do long before I get to cosmetic.
how much would i get
I have a limited edition 1979 Mazda Rx-7 it is a fixer upper but number 10 off of the production line. How much do people think i can get in auction. It does not have the original engine and the one i have needs rebuilt. I have rebuilt the front end all the way to new steering linkage to caliber and brakes etc.. it has a new front window and new side windows in a box that need to be installed. it has the 5 speed stick and it is in black. Feel free to reach out with offers it is missing original seats and the sunroof unfortunatly.

Agree with Tim above, pictures would be needed to give any meaningful assessment. Although special models would carry some premium over regular S or GS models, it really only applies if the car was complete and intact with the parts and features that made them unique in the first place.
Sounds like what you have is a non running project car. The price could be all over the place depending on its actual condition and what all it still might need. Curious, how do you know it was the 10th car completed?
