A somewhat eventful weekend

My friends and I were hanging out last weekend. Just the normal car meet/hang out routine, when some young guy in a single cam S13 started calling everybody out. Normally my little clique don't get involved in too many races but we were bored and decided to have some fun. I had two of my friends with me at this point, one in a 1984 NA MKII Toyota Supra (bone stock 5M with no muffler) and the other in a 1981 Z28 Chevy Camaro (Bone stock 305 with no emissions). I was driving my GSL-SE with a stock 13b and a shitty exhaust with bad cats. There were a few other guys that came with us but I don't really associate with them like that.

So went took off to our spot so we can run. We did 40mph rolls and did 3 wide. I only participated in two runs. The First run I did was versus the Supra and the S13. I jumped ahead of the two cars but we were cut short since the camaro and a newish civic SI weren't paying attention (they just finished their run) so we got off of it once we approached them. We ran again after that. This time me and the S13 jump in front of the supra by 1 car length. As we approached 70mph I started walking away from the S13. once I had to get in 4 gear, the supra walked me down and he got a nose a head of me and then we shut down since it would be reckless to keep pushing it. The others continued doing a couple runs but I decided not to push my luck and just sat back in relaxed.

So we went back to the hang out spot and then we got word that someone's engine blew. Everybody looked at my rx7 at first (I flipped them off...) and then some confirmed it was the camaro. So we went back to get him.

But in the end, 3 shitty 80's cars whooped up on a S13 240 and a civic SI. I'm surprised the FB held it's ground as well as it did.

Thanks for taking the time to read my childish antics. Don't flame me too badly

The responsible adult in me says street racing is bad and you shouldn't do it blah blah blah you know the speech but, the childish speed demon in me says awesome job dusting a si and a s13, and tell your bud in the f-body grab a gmpp create 350 and ditch that 305 then his blown motor woes will be over.

we had something like that happen at mazfest a few years ago. i built a cheap engine for one of the mikes FC and mike #2 had a subaru.

when they called and asked for the trailer we were sure the Rx7 blew up, but no, the subaru threw a rod....

and actually the rx7 is still running, and its BEAT...
