Smog Questions.

Hello! I have some questions as to smogging a RX7, I have issues with the car bottoming out when cold, but when warm it has a solid 700 IDLE. when cold, it idles at 1k, then drops th 500 and saves itself. I dont know if that is a good sign to smog in CA or not, but i am also plannning on removing The A/C unit, as it gets in the way of my spark plugs :3 is there anything else i should do to prep the car? I havent driven the car hard since my last oil change, which was about a year ago, and also would like to look for vacuum leaks with smoke, how would one go about doing that leak check? I dont have the money for crazy smoke testers. I have also ran COMP. tests and they were 80 with the shrader valve on, since i forgot to remove it. Any help is welcome, thank you very much for the help!!!

Itll be just like smogging any other car. Change oil before since any contamination there will be burned and get picked up by the sniffer. Fresh gas if you premix. New plugs would help too if yours are old. Anything that'll give it a cleaner burn. You shouldn't have to worry about it cold idling since you'll want to run it hard before to heat up the cats. My last smog I went first thing in the morning so I wasnt waiting for other people and drove all the way there a gear lower to heat the exhaust then just left it running until they took it in. Car passed fine with nothing other than that but I have EFI so idk what other prep or tweaks you can make if you're carbed.

You need to supply year and model of the RX7 to get specific recommendations. Some don't have cats and some have carbs and others have EFI.
