Side skirts on FB

Hey guys, Just figured i would post up a few pics of what i have been working on lately.. Nothing crazy or cool, but it's something that I haven't done before and it's kinda fun.

Anyway, I have always liked the look of side skirts on gen1's and decided i needed to get my self some. Don't have much money and I didn't know where to get skirts new.

So i bought some side skirts off an AW11 toyota MR2 from a friend for $20.

^ that is what they started as.

I had to lengthen them about 4 inches, do a bit of chopping and they started to fit.

That was before I painted them.

Still not quite done, but they are on the car. Just have to do a bit more sanding, and a skim of filler and they are finished. I like the outcome so far. What do you guys think?

Oh and the ghetto front spoiler is a 240sx Hatch wing.. dont ask.

Lol, i saw a pic of a first gen that had a AE86 wing on it as a air dam so you're close

The skirts look like they fit pretty well! Personally I don't like side skirts on a FB unless it has a air dam and rear vailence to match, but looking good so far!

Got any up close pics of the part you added in?

Don't have any pics of that, But All it was was a piece of aluminum sheet( as a base) then i fibreglassed the rest and used filler. Not the best way to do it i know, but it works lol
