Seeking info about this key

Hey yall, we just picked up an '83 gsl and this was one of the keys we recieved. Haven't seen one like this before and would like to know more information. Thanks! 83 gsl key

I've never seen that key, but it could just be an aftermarket key.

I've never sen anything like that before. Different from the original key, but very awesome none the less. Perhaps it was a Mazda Finishline accessory that year.

Mazda sent me 2 when I had my first 626 I bought new. Not sure why, but they came uncut. I like them.

When my Dad bought the car in 1985, Mazda also sent us one key blank like that in the mail. I always kept it in my wallet since its much slimmer and smaller than the OEM key.

Good to know that is is in fact an original key. I figured as much since the font is spot on and very period correct.
