i am reinstalling my seat belts today and find that when the retractor is not bolted in the seat belt locks up like it is suppose to... it locks up no matter what position the rectractor is as well..... the second the retractor touches the car it stops locking up.... i don't even have to bolt it in, as long as it touches the car it doesn't work.....

how does this happen?..... there are no plugs or anything on here that look like a grounding issue or something... i don't get it.... i have tried both rectractors to make sure it wasn't a mix up from left to right, and i have consulted the FSM and all it says is to bolt it in....WTF!!!!!!!

 

What do you mean "touches the car?" I installed my seatbelts a week or two ago and they don't like to unlock unless it is perfectly aligned to where it needs to be bolted on, even a few degrees off keeps the assembly locked up.

 

there is a little guide pin in the back of the retractor.... if the is touching the car it won't lock up... that's just an example.... it seems like if in anyway it is in contact with the car it will not lock up no matter how hard it is pulled....

 

well this is the dumbest **** i have ever seen.... i have been looking at it for an hour and can't figure out a damn thing on it..... it's the little **** like this that makes me wanna stick a rag in the tank and light this bitch up!!!!!!!!

due to my impatience and anger.... as well as my lack of funding for idiotic ****.... the harnesses are getting installed ahead of schedule.... ill just put the broken belts back in when she goes for inspection
