Being on a budget is no excuse for buying crappy parts. Being impaitiant is the reason you bought those gauges. I got my Autometer ultralight oil pressure and temp gauges for $40 on craigslist. You just have to be paitiant and know where to look to find the good deals. all my gauges are 2-1/16" wideband is where the clock was. Now that was an expensive gauge, but I waited until I found one for what I wanted to pay. $325 new I got it for $180 used from a guy who blew up his car after 2 weeks of owning it.

I'll snap a pic of the switches up-close tonight. They're subtle, unlabelled black; between them, the manual choke, and the stock headlight switch lever, the car's been known to reduce young parking valets to tears.
Yes, I just dropped in newer electric regulators (not sure of which year they came from - junkyard refugees), which are a direct bolt-in.
Ran wire & made a flex-duct at the door hinge, & worked out the DPDT/center-off switching from general electrical principles.
I'll find those pix of the guage console assembly tonight, too. Pretty proud of how cleanly it came out, though it's sort of simple in concept.

OK, Here are the window switches:
Here's the wiring underneath:
And here's the flex tube, which used the original holes in the door (like they planned for it!)
(the little gizmo wire-tied on there is a sensor for an outside-air thermometer)
Here's some close-ups of my guage setup:
The bezel was cut from the back and sides of an electronic "project box," so it had raised edges on two sides that I used to fasten it to the radio surround.
