There are a couple on here. I've test driven one and I really enjoyed it. Super smooth and handled great while being comfortable

i own an 05 RX-8. its the Sport with the 6mt. has a 30K miles. its a wonderful car through and through. very nice ride, sounds excellent, goes like the dickens. i do have one complaint about the car though. when i'm using the heat and want the air directed at my feet and press the mode button and direct it that way, i also get air coming out of the defrost vents as well. so i have feet and defrost when i only want feet heat. i consulted my owners manual first and foremost and it indicated that thats the proper way the air should be being directed in the feet setting. its just mildly annoing.

i would definatly not reccomend the car to someone who has little to no mechanical ability. its definatly a driver's car. i find it easy on the eyes as well

still can't see much of the engine.. in order to remove the spark plugs, you must raise the vehicle, remove the LF wheel, and remove a part of the fender liner and then you have access to the plugs. not a very user friendly car to work on. thats the reason that i wouldnt reccomend the car to anyone that has little to no mechanical experience. it'll cost them too much money. i still love the car though. it doesnt phase me as far as working on it and diagnosing problems.

"Fits four" I hope you mean kids because it's really a 2+2 (for looks not to put a person back there). Putting an adult in the back is worse then waterboarding at Gitmo.

^^^^Completely not true. Average size adults can fit in the back with comfort. I'm 5'8" and was comfortable back there with good leg room(I have long legs). There's more room in them than it looks from the outside. It's my #2 choice for a new DD in a couple of months

+1. We did 4 Average (6'0, 5'8, 6'1,5'10) guys in the car on a ski trip so about 3 hours. Didn't feel much more cramped than our subaru outback. Pretty comfy all round.

i agree on the comfort. i've sat in the back seat of my 8 (in the driveway, not on the road) and was more than comfortable. head room in the rear isnt the greatest but its acceptable. plus my daughter loves the car!

It doesn't "require" premium but it is recommended for optimum performance. I've seen some RX-8 guys reset the fuel maps and run on regular 87 octane and run fine. I'd probably just spend the few extra cents per gallon fro premium though

For those of you who have kids, do any of them ever complain of lack of visibility? It seems to me that they wouldn't be able to see much from back there - tall front seats, small and high side windows. How well does a car seat fit?

Love this car...roommate has one. He was looking at 350Z's and i told him to test drive one of these...bought it the day he drove it Drifts like a champ in the rain and the traction control is amazing. grabs individual tires rather than cutting throttle.

Very very easy to live with everyday and a blast to redline although the shift warning beep is useless with any exhaust. I have to say the catback borla is great sounding. deep and great high end.

The seats are great for 4 adults...i find the back seats more comfy than the front passenger. and the Bose sound system is great. 9" woofers in the doors!!

Highly recommend this car, but make sure to check the oil and redline it for God's Sake! Also 100k mile warranty? Nice!!

for comparison purposes, with city driving and winter gas and extended idling periods for warmup, i'm averaging 14.6mpg in my RX-8
