Rx7 cig lighter

Just came across this lighter online and was curious if anyone knows any info about its production origin. Never seen one before. Cant find any info online about it either. Very curious.

I bought one of those with a slightly different logo. it is kind of neat, but while the quality is very good, meaning is has a substantial feel in your hand and a very good finish, it is definitely not oem like. It is very heavy, and mine wouldn't actually work, did not mess with it long enough to figure out why, so its a novelty item now.
