Was that the street version, or the race version (requires welding)? Looks good, but I'm wishing you had a better before picture. What spring rates and shocks did you go with?

Here's a couple of shots from my early years.
Details on suspension at this time:[LIST][*]Racing Beat springs (all 4 corners)[*]Racing Beat front Swaybar[*]Illumina Shocks (all 4 corners)
It was certainly better than stock, but you can see in the autocross photo that she still wallowed pretty bad when pushed to the limits.

its the street kit and i wasn't sure on what spring rate to go with so i just went with 250 front and 150 rear. its a rough ride lol. The car came with Tokico HP series shocks but im going to swap them out soon for the Illumina's.

Here's a few shots as she sits today.
Suspension details:
I don't have any recent "action" photos handy, but I've got something better. I put this video together as my defense in an argument over spring rates. It's a pretty good example of what the car is capable of now, although these shots are from a test N tune the day before the race, rather than the actual race.

Suspension details:
- Respeed coilovers front/rear
- Illuminas front
- Bilsteins rear
- Respeed front swaybar
- ISC Racing rear adj. swaybar (no longer produced)
- Respeed Camber Plates

Have you got an aftermarket front swaybar yet? That is a very important item that you won't want to neglect. Probably the biggest improvement that a single part can make, but unfortunately it also has to be the last part added. If you put a heavy bar on stock suspension you'll end up with understeer that's simply unbearable...
Are those 15" wheels?

agreed, the illuminas make it quite tolerable. been driving at 5... its awesome, but i took a girl out to lunch so i put it to 1... totally different feeling. then she wanted to feel how stiff it would get. put it to 5. she loved it ..... now she wants to start drifting etc
p.s. i'm not completely done with the kit... waiting on the camber plates and brake kit. this will be fun!! then i'm getting a bigger sway bar up front, and putting the stock rear back on. Kentetsu, you have the respeed front bar right? and the stock rear?

Your car looks like it was sitting really high in the before pics man.
I haven't done any suspension mods, but I'm sure after I take my car to my first Auto-X this may I'll be wanting something better.

Kentetsu, were your RB springs used? You seem to get alot more roll than my car gets around the cones. Here's my first auto-x from last September. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z-KWz3N6U8. I have Tokico Blues and RB springs all around and RB sway bars front and rear. I really wish RE-Speed had been around when I bought my car.

No, they were new, especially back then. However, looking back on it I may have been using the Illuminas on a very low setting on the front, trying to cure understeer issues. I might have had the rear swaybar off too (which I tried for a short time). Hard to say, I used to play around with all the settings back then, when I should have just been driving.
I spend far less time changing things these days (once the car is changed over to "race" mode, that is (swap tires, lower front end, set camber, add a pinch of toe out)). Any adjustments made after that point are strictly made to the driver.
