Rear center panel upgrade

I thought I'd start this thread prematurely in order to torture you guys.

This is what I was lucky to score from eBay for $45. And I really was lucky because it was listed as a buy it now auction and I just happened to stumble upon it soon after listing. I've been looking (like everyone else) for one of these panels off and on for years!

Anyway, I've ordered two cuttable A4 sized electroluminescent panels which I'll wire to the the driving lights so that the panel will be illuminated at night. So stay tuned for new images as the mod continues ....

Noice.

We never got those on our's as Aussie spec lights are different to US spec, but that panel looks pretty cool.

Would look good if you wired it in to come on with your brake lights rather than having it on constantly at night.

Cam...

That is way cool! I've never seen the original lit version before so thanks for sharing this rather rare aftermarket mod.

there has been 2 of those in my local junkyard over the years. i thought it was kinda ugly so i didn't grab it. now one of the cars is long gone, and someone broke the other one. i should have bought it and sold it on ebay.

The SA ones came with lights, FBs did not. I've thought about making the FB ones but couldn't generate enough interest so I sold mine.
