that IS brutal ..... at least the engine doesn't look damaged, idk if it'll do away with just straightening things out and bondo tho? i don't know much about body repairs. but hopefully it'll be something easy like that, maybe just replacing a few parts........ how did that happen?

No idea...

My grandpa bought the car wrecked like that...he doesnt even know what happened...

My best guess is they pulled out in front of someone....?

I'm going over there tomorrow and im going to start hacking unusable stuff off. Fenders, whats left of the front clip, the radiator, etc... After I get everything I can off i'll probably pull the engine and all other accessories out. Then it'll be time to hack the front end off and weld on all the new stuff. I still need to find someone to do that though...and I also need a donor front end.

I wish it was as simple as having someone pull the frame back into shape but with the way it got hit and all the rust its not even worth trying.

with a donor car, and the proper tools.... should be fairly straight forward.

Take lots of pictures during disassembly. I'd cut the rad/head light area off to gain access to the motor, pull the motor and empty out that engine bay.

remove the suspension and I'd drill out all the spot welds that hold the front clip on, do the same on the donor car and then just line up the front ends and weld up the spot welds with a mig. Once spot welded in place measure everything and once everything is right do some nice welding!!

Sound like this will be an awesome project!!

If you ever feel like making a trip to canada I have a parts car stripped with a good front clip and full SE suspension/brakes/cross member etc.

Cool find but this should be used as a parts car only IMO*. It could probably be fixed but there are so many roller frames that would be much safer for you.

Your life is not worth the risk of a few hundered bucks for a proper frame.

Wow Canada...That would be cool but I would probably spend more money getting up there and back than I would paying you for it.

At 21,000 miles the car is a rare find. Whoever, it looks like a monumental project if you are not a trained body man.

I hope this works out for you. I would hate to see an old buggy like this with that mileage be parted out.

I really don't know yet. I've thought about a small block ford or chevy. And then again i thought about keeping it rotory and slapping a turbo on it.

Speaking of turbos how much horsepower could you expect from a turboed rotory?

oh man, since you're in this forum you're gonna get lots of crap if you decided to take off the rotary, , i'd personally stay with the rotary cuz i like it, but it's your car lol. as far as power outputs, there are a few turbo threads, you just gotta search
