Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix July 24-25
The West Penn Mazda Club invites you to bring your RX-7 to Pittsburgh for the Vintage Grand Prix Car Show. Frankly we're interested in any Rotary powered car. Registration is $25 and covers both days. Here is a link to the Asian Car page:

There is not going to be any track time for our cars. There will however be vintage racing through the park and the bigger cars will be racing at the BeaveRun Motorsports facility.

I lived in Pittsburgh for almost 20 years and tried to always make this race. Its one
of the best vintage race events around because its actually run on the streets
in the city park as opposed to a race track venue like Road Atlanta. Saturday is
the big day to see all kinds of cars and of course whatever the mark of the year is.
Saturday and Sunday has racing all day long. It costs nothing to park on a side
street and walk around the park and golf course admiring the cars. The cost iowa
mentions is so you can pull your car into one of the car corrals on the golf course
which borders a good portion of the race circuit.
If your near Pittsburgh, make sure to drop by this event. You will not be
disappointed. Also all proceeds go towards charity (autism I think).

According to the site, the race is restricted to cars through 1960's. VSCCA web site says it accepts cars with log book through 1960's and "application may be made to all of our events by non VSCCA drivers and for cars without a log book." I ask if they would consider the application for mid 1980's GTU or GTO RX-7.
