Pin Stripes for 79 Limited?

Having a hard time finding the pin stripes for a 79 Limited. Looks like it may have to be hand painted unless there is some obscure source somewhere?

I've seen a limited pin stripe selection at Advanced Auto stores with a paint mixing section.

Other car paint stores might have wider options.

These would require some custom fitting, but with a little creative engineering it might look good.

Yeah at that point I would just get them hand painted, which is looking like the only option for me.

I'm not sure that kind of talent still exists, but if you find someone please let me know, and how much.

Our local Toyota dealership offers hand painted pinstripes. The guys is super busy, and will do custom pinstripes. But like you said, rare talent = higher prices. He did the Sienna van in black with a Toyota logo near the end.

Locally though they are about $100 an hour starting, and thats basic stripe and 3 hours of work. I was hoping for NOS stashed in some random Nevada dealership, but custom ink looks to be the way.

Think of it as getting tattoos for your RX-7.

Pricey, but unique.

Painted stripes are the way to go, the original owner of my 85 GSL-SE had the pinstripe done with tape and it doesn't age well, or hold up under car washing and detailing over the years. That was the one bright spot when I was forced to repaint my car was getting rid of the crumbling pinstripe tape. Just my two cents.
