I bought the motor that was in the flood tonight cracked it open and found this....

So far I have found no damage from the mud ant water. Looks like it just needs a good cleaning and new seals. I have not checked the specs on any of it yet, I will dig into that tomorrow.

So, I don't think I will be able to run the stock carb as planned LOL. I was told it was lightly ported.....I like their definition of "lightly ported"

yeah that's a nice bridge! engine looks pretty nice though, clean it up, measure everything and replace anything that is out of spec + the rubber bits, and you've got a runner!

So with the discovery of the bridge port, do you think this setup will help?

intake:
Racing Beat bridge port Holley intake
Holley 650 double pumper
Quickfuel 150 gph fuel pump
Quickfuel adjustable fpr set for 6psi

So parts are starting to come in for the rebuild.

racing beat Gasket/o-ring kit (showed up yesterday)
FD corner seal springs from pineapple racing
Viton oil ring inserts from Atkins
3mm solid corner seals from Atkins

The tension bolts are in good condition and i plan to reuse them, and the apex seals were low miles. Can you guys think of anything i would be missing?

Time to get a new girlfriend. "Cleaning your desk" is girl-speak for searching through your stuff.

Nah, she is just overly clean. I have come to expect the cleaning. I just need to confine my parts to the basement. She wont go down there
