parts needed

/i have posted on marketplace for wanted. i am looking for a fuel pump for a 84/85 rx7 the OE. they are no longer available even from atkins or mazdatrix. this is one of the only pumps that puts out a consistent 2.75 psi. i cant seem to find any replacement that puts out that exact pressure. every one i have tried is too much and the car doesnt run right. I had no problems before this fuel pump died.

i have used a #42s mr gasket pump on the stock 12a carb with no issues with it over powering the floats. a #12s is supplying my current holley carbed 13b.

You may want to post a want to buy ad in the marketplace section here on the forum. It's possible that someone has one laying around that they would sell.

Conekiller13 might have one. I think I included a used one with my racecar when I sold it. I am sure he isn't using it in any of his racecars.

The 79-83 pump is still available thru Atkins (and ebay). I can't imagine that the performance is any different than the 84-85 since the carb and engine are the same. The inlet/outlet configuration is a little different, but some hose came account for that.

The other option is a fuel pressure regulator. I used a Carter, 8-ish psi discharge, pump with a low pressure holley pressure regulator set at 2.25-2.5 psi for years on my race car. Fuel pressure was very constant (I vidioed some on-track test sessions with a gauge taped to my my windshield to confirm fuel pressure) . The Carter pump is kind of noisy, but was very reliable.

Just looked on Mazdatrix site and they confirm my thoughts on the early pump in the 84-85
