Original Luce R130 Rotary Coupe on ebay - pix!
Thats correct, nearly all Mazda production Wankel engines share a single rotor diameter: 105 mm (4.1 in) with a 15 mm (0.6 in) crankshaft offset. The only engine to diverge from this formula was the rare 13A, which used a 120 mm (4.7 in) diameter and 17.5 mm (0.7 in) offset. This makes for great torque at low RPM. "A stroked rotary"
Nice car though!
It would be very nice to get a rebuild bill................That would mean its actually possible to rebuild it.
Apex seal's are same as 10a engine but obviously side seals are a problem.
I would rebuild her every 50k out of paranoia...
I purchased it landed in Auckland. I have had various offer's worldwide, the best so far is NZ$44,700, however because it's in extremely good original condition I would expect its value to be a bit more than that.
I dont believe the very small NZ market realises its true value so its going off shore when the time comes.
