Describe how you are testing coils that are showing the 1-2 volts. Assuming you're trying to repair no start.

With a voltmeter on the pos and neg of the coils while crankin the engine. Yes is a no start situation. Thanks.

Turn the key on and check the voltage at black/yellow wire at coil +primary. Set voltmeter to 20 volt scale.
Put positive/red test lead on coil primary terminal and negative/black test lead to a solid ground. Record results.
Leave all hooked up and crank engine. Record results.

With charged battery 12.6-12.8 volts
Key on @12 volts
Cranking @ 10.8-11.2

Post your results here.

Has this car run previously,or never run in your ownership?

How old are cap/rotor/plugs. Do you have correct plugs? Should be BR8EQ-14 leading and trailing.

Next, test ignition coils for resistance. Remove high tension lead from coils, remove all wires from primary terminals on both coils-note their location.
Set multimeter on 200 ohms scale and test primary resistance on both coils by putting each test lead of meter on each primary terminal, both should be@ same. Record. Set meter on 20k ohms scale and put one test lead on either primary terminal and the other down hi tension tower of coil touching terminal in bottom.
Primary resistance @1-3 ohms
Secondary resistance @ 5-8 ohms
Both coils should test @ same. Coils in these cars very good quality and failure rate not high.
Post your test results here for guidance on what to test next.
