SICK handling man!! It stuck to the ground like glue... Still trying to figure out tire pressures and driving style. My fastest run of the day was my first!!! WHen I thought I was taking it easy! I think I was overdriving the car.
The car sits so low now... hard to get it on the trailer now!
I need to work on my limited slip now. It is wore out and I am spinning my inner tire too much!

Better yet, what front bar are you running? Any way to stiffen up the front end? You'll want to keep that rear bar if you can.
My LSD is in pretty good shape, but I think it would'nt spin the inside wheel even if it wasn't. I just don't get the body lean to do that anymore...

My LSD was shot. I just installed a freshly rebuilt (tight) LSD last night. I will race this weekend to see if this helps.
A friend mentioned that i might want to set rear swaybar to softest level to help with too light of weight on inner wheel. It is always the passenger wheel, which has the hardest time!
One course I have a hard time with is extreamly tight course with unreal traction... everyone has problems on this surface/place!

I run an adjustable rear sway bar... I have 3 different settings. I have it set to the middle. I run a racing beat front sway bar. Unknown front springs, but they are stiff.

Went to race this weekend... destroyed everyone in my class!! Now the harder you drive the faster you go!! Before the harder I drove the slower I went!
Unreal what a difference a rebuilt LSD will do!!

Glad you got her sorted out Chief! A good LSD makes a hell of a difference in the handling of the car, not to mention being able to put the power down when you want/need to.
I've always run my rear bar (sound like the same as yours) on the inner (stiffest) setting. Just for ***** and giggles, I've moved it to the center position for the next race to see what difference it makes in the high speed sweepers. I think the car will be a tad more stable, but I hope I'm not introducing any understeer because I'm already very happy with the car as it is.

I love how you went with Panasports for your race tires.
Most people (myself included) get nice street wheels and then get the cheapest functional thing (Diamond Racing) to shod their car with on race day.
Hats off you you for having the class to go all the way!

Thanks man!! I have tried to add a touch of nostalgic old school class to the car!!! I enjoy the car for more than just it being an autocross car... I enjoy it because it's a Mazda!!

I have panasport/hoosier combo that he is running for sale if anyone is interested. I've been trying post an ad on here in the for sale section, but it doesn't seem to be working. PM me if you would like pics/info.

They don't have an actual autocross going on, but they will let you take some hot Miatas on race rubber through an autocross course if you sign up for it.

Its April 29th thru May 1st. The autocross is a misnomer. Its a free flogging of a
miata around a good sized cone setup. Can't run your own car. Its done on Saturday
morning for sure, not sure about any other days. You have to go to the GRM tent
and sign up for it when you get there or show up early Sat morning and get inline.
Theres a good crowd of OGTA members that will be camped in the infield by turns
4,5 and 6. We'd love to see more show up. Sunday a large caravan of DGRR folks
are making their way down for the noon parade lap. So Sunday looks like a good
time as well. I'll be there from Thursday until Sunday afternoon (3 or 4).

wheels spec please!! offset??
I did have to remove the rear bar. My inner rear tire was in the air sometime causing me to spin out. Now with the bar removed the car doesn't lift up the tire. I will change springs/shock with a custom ones from re-speed sometime this year

Also, if you don't have a LSD rear end, you might not know it yet but you want one very badly.

I have been running the Hoosier A6 tires on the car. They are now up to over $200 each though now.
I am going to try the Hankook Ventus Z214 in road race compound since they are going for about $126 each on tire rack.

I highly recommend the Ventus Jim. I've got half a season on mine and they still look like new. All of the Hoosier guys come around and drool over them after I beat them. Even the guy on new 255/13 Hoosiers is a bit green.
After the example I set last year, I expect to see a lot of converts this year...
