nice work there. whats the story behind the wrecked 7?

Crit 10-27-09 09:01 AM

Chris (young guy with the big hair in the second-to-last pic) was headed down a slippery on-ramp with 3 other accidents at the base of it. The truck ahead braked in order to not pass an officer without being waved around, and made them the fourth accident on-scene.

We swapped his injector-bung-plugged GSL-SE engine, Del Horto carb, and S2 suspension onto Ray's old "White One" that tossed a rotor not long ago, and repopulated the shell with as much S2 hardware as possible, in order to keep Ray stocked full of S3 spares.

Yeah, The white one, A.K.A. Sexypants II will see lots of following distance gaps in her future, I'm never rear ending anyone again!

We need to have one of these meetings so I can get my SA back on the road;)

Sgt Fox 10-28-09 12:12 PM

Makes me want to move to Georgia. I wish we had a local club like that.

xylorex 10-28-09 12:33 PM

No kidding... Great club.

Who was rocking the Elise, and why didn't you tell the guy with the axe to put it down and step away from the flywheel?

Looks like a fun day of work.

gsl-se addict 10-29-09 06:10 AM

The Lotus belongs to this guy

https://i259.photobucket.com/albums/...n/DSCF1428.jpg

I agree the OGTA crew is a good group of guys. I've been down that way a couple times to meet up with them (7.5 hour drive each way). They always help each other out with parts or working on cars.

Billy (re-speed) is in several pics. Can you guess which one is Billy? Ray is behind the camera, so he is not in the pics.

mazdaverx713b 10-29-09 07:00 AM

i'm guessing Billy is the guy with the brown hat and the goatee.. i know what Crit and Ray look like and i recognize some of the other rotary owners from Ray's OGTA posts..not 100% sure though

rxtasy3 10-29-09 10:19 AM

yep, that's him.

mazdaverx713b 10-29-09 12:59 PM

i look at that picture above of Billy pointing and i imagine him saying "bingo"

ray green 10-29-09 03:49 PM

They are about to drop the engine, tranny and drive shaft into the engine bay. Billy's steering it. Collin is checking with Central on his cell phone and Crit is at the controls of the hoist.

jshiz 10-29-09 05:49 PM

Close nit group. Maybe I should attend one of these.

ourxseven 10-29-09 08:09 PM

somehow the First Gen Section all makes a little more sense now after this thread :icon_tup:
