Mike - Ill have to post something again about my car soon. I hope to work on it this winter a bit. It's a 1980 that I believe came out of California. After that, I couldn't tell you. I bought it from a lady whos husband was working on it. He was making it his auto-x car. Unfortunately he passed away before it was finished, so I had to do some work to get her going a little better. Before he owned it, a drug dealer was said to have it. He was arrested, the car was stripped and slapped back together by the police department (or something along that line) which lead to numerous problems. The guy whos wife I bought it from gutted it and started semi fresh.

From the little information I found, I think it came from Rotary Engineering. I think the targa was done there and the widebody may have been put on there originally from them as well. Before the previous owner purchased it, it had the three tone blue like RE did to some of their cars.

Ill do some more research after the calendar is all done.

Been off the forum for a while working my butt off to keep food on the table and RX-7s in the stable. So it was really exciting to see the excellent collection of fine 7's for the 2011 calender. Fine work Chris! 7aull's SA interior shot on the cover really stands out with the MAZDA font. It would be cool to feature a shot of DivinDriver's award winning SA engine on a front / back cover in future editions.

Kudos to all who contributed to making this calendar.

Mickster! Long time no hear!

You, me and Kris need to get together after the calendars are out - - I'd like you ask you gents to sign my "keeper" copy below your cars, on the shot from JCCS. It'd be worth the cost of a round of beers, for certain.

If I could figure a way to work it, I'd love to float that one copy around to everyone who's cars are pictured & get it autographed by everyone. That'd be a serious keepsake!

I'll start accepting orders as soon as the calendars are complete. I find this easier for me as I can add them to my spread sheet to make it easier to record whos is packed and shipped. Especially when they just come in and I have to ship a lot! hahah

Should I do it through PM's or build a quick web program / shopping cart thing? Which one would you all like?

They would both be easy.

In a PM I would request payment to my email address, and have you include your shipping address.

On the website, I would have it so you dont need to register, its just a quick 'check-out'

Name, Address, Quantity, Payment.

It would probably be easier to do a quick web program; however, I often times don't get responses to here often and I don't keep up otherwise so I would prefer a PM, even if it is just to say, "Hey, pay up bitch."

either way, I would like notification via PM as I do not necessarily come on the forums all that often and if I do, it's just to check a couple things and I'm off.

Doesn't matter. If I know they are coming, I will check back here as often as I can remember.

seconding a PM. Sends a nice email to me, and if you include the payment info, I'll be less lazy as it'll be right in front of me.

Thanks

Chris, here's an idea that's come too late but I wanted to pitch it out there anyway. I was looking at my 2010 RX-7 calendar and noticed it's a straight 12 month calendar. Is there any way to make it a 13 month calendar so that January of the following year is part of it? If the current calendar had been 13 month, I think a lot of the sweatin' the boyz are doing here wouldn't exist since they'd still have a month left and another 1stgen to look at. It'd give you a little more time to finalize things and also take a load of pressure off trying to get them out to people before the year actually starts.

Just a random thought. Back to the grind for me.

It's like you're a mind reader! For some reason I used to go from December of that year to December of the following.

This year, I used my highly educated brain (ha!). I went from January 2011 to January 2012.

Thanks for the suggestion. Its hard to believe it took me two years to figure that out. hahaha.

Sad thing is, nobody really mentioned it earlier. Heres to this years calendar!!

That explains there being 15 pix in the calendar. 13 months, two cover shots.

They're here!

How to 'order':
  1. Send me a PM with your name, shipping address and quantity desired. I will then reply with a total cost shipped.
  2. OR email rx7calendar @ gmail.com with the above information

E-mailing will be fastest as it goes direct to my phone which I have on me all day.

Payment
  • PayPal - shipped immediately after payment received and packed.
  • Money Order - Shipped when money order is received.

Pricing:
  • 1 - $18.00 shipped in US. $15 plus shipping for outside US.
  • 2 - $30.00 plus shipping
  • 3-5 - $13.50 each plus shipping
  • 5+ $12.00 plus shipping

I think that's what I had last year. If it was lower last year, I will change it immediately.

If any of this is against the rules, MODs, please let me know!
