New addition.... 1984 RX7
Well a friend of mine bought this car last year and I fell in love with it. Asked him if he ever decided to sell it I wanted first refusal rights. Well he decided to sell it
So here it is, 37,000 miles, 100% rust free. It has had one repaint in its life at some point but does not appear to have been in any accidents. My friend added the polished wheels during his ownership, the original alloys were a little pitted looking and painted a questionable gold color. I dont plan on doing much to it right away, I do have some new tires in a more proper 185 tread width though and I may do a few easily reversible bolt on things, suspension, exhuast etc. If any one could school me on the trim levels of these cars that would be nice. I know it cam with alloys, glass moonroof, stereo, cloth interior, power mirrors, crank windows and drum brakes...
Enough rambling, on with the pics :tu:
Damn rain!

Thanks to my friend Andrew for the photos. Link to the rest here..

More to follow when the weather cooperates and the new tires are on :tu:

Actually its not quite a straight black, it has a light metallic in it and in the right light its amazing.
The sun poked out here for a few mins so took it out for a quick blast with my friend Andrew and his monster '90 Talon TSi, very quick car! To much fun driving to take to many pics, maybe the next time the sun shows its face..... Quick shots sharring the spotlight with the TSi.....

Hmmmm, lets try that again......

RWL's are going away, they are period correct yes but they are not my taste. Plus they are WIDE, and with non-power steering its a bit of a bear at low speeds. Full set of Sumitomos going on next week.
Interior is nice, seats, dash and carpet are mint. Looking for a shifter boot, ****, and e-brake handle as they are all sun damaged by the glass roof.

Good eye! Correct on all three locations! Look forward to some cruising with you in your FB as well.
Well, the muffler is shot, presumably from sitting for so long and the guts of it rattle around from time to time, so it will be getting a RB muffler at least. And as for wheels.., I have a connection to Braid wheels in Spain, and I am looking into getting some 13X7 three piece four spokes made up to fit the car. Just got a new set of there rally wheels made for my Mitsu Mirage Rally-X car and I am thrilled with them.
Thanks to my friend Andrew here are some action shots from this past weeks autocross.....

Completly outclassed in E-stock with Miata'a on Hoosiers. Class winner of the day was a first gen Miata with 14 inch slicks. He was running 50.1 sec laps and I was running 56.1 with old dry rotted BFG radial T/A's. Better tires will help, but I will prob not run slicks on the car.
