I'd be happy to buy your center panel if you are going to leave it off.

don't think you could, at least not without some serious bodywork because the fb tails are somewhat bigger than the SA ones. i could be wrong though.

Mel,

Well, I don't have to deal with CA smog, and I know you have enough projects on your hands as is, with all you junks and all, so I can take that project off your hands. Just send it on over to GA

thanks anyway. I have the SA tails and the "RX7" center piece. IW as hoping to switch over and sell the center piece. Come to think of it, I just thought of a grand idea for the tail hmm. sure beats my original idea of using the 2012+ RX8 tails on there

I think my mod using an electroluminescent panel to light the middle panel looks fantastic at night, especially visible to those drivers that have been overtaken!

Hmmmm. I agree. VERY nice. I'm going to have to look into that for sure. Can you start a thread showing what you did and parts source?

I say leave it and fill in the two screw holes.

Maybe it looks unfinished because of the two holes.

Hmmmm....I think I'm going to use this idea, cut out the bumps, weld in some small patches and smooth it over, like it was never there. Thanks for this thread and the ideas....

Duly noted good sir. I guess I will just keep pestering Mel about the SA stereo surround him and Akira made, like I have been for years. Maybe one day we will get him to release his grasp on these things

Wonder what it would look like if you put a plate of metal between the lights that flushed out with the bodyline below keyhole and the ends of the lights....a true filler panel....that way it wouldnt look like anything was missing at all....as it would all flush out??????
